Being in a democratic country, we all possess a few expectations as citizens. Unfortunately, we realise that what we expect is futile. Mooki – a dance theatre production incorporating dialogue, dance, music, movement, sign language & silence explores this aspect of democracy. Inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s short story about a dumb girl, Subhashini. Bangalore based artiste, choreographer, dance artiste, dance-writer Veena Basvarajaiah presents Mooki, which examines our futile expectations.
