The sudden increase in number of college activities has Kmitians positively brimming with excitement…
With three events in a span of a week you could feel the college alive with people bustling out of classes to get where they want to,while the non-participants took the liberty to bunk with the rest of there friends to show class solidarity…
Saanjh-e-kmit was one of the biggest events in the history of KMIT marking the platinum jubilee of Keshav Memorial Educational Society (KMES)
What was amazing is the huge amount of talent that was sparkling on stage.
It was unprecedented to see so many people come together to organize many skits and performances that even the local newspaper-Eenadu covered it!

Some skits were amazing in terms of content and acting…
A few that stood out for me were the one about suicide and the sci-fi time machine/robot that had everyone in stitches.
A message was clearly sent to the students about the futility of taking ones own life but not in the preachy and boring way that you would expect. The dialogues were crisp and the delivery was above par…
The sci-fi robot-time-machine was amazing in concept…
We can understand how hard it would be to explain something like that on stage and make it funny rather than a lecture on science, but they managed to impress us all with their trick ending with the message that even the good times pass away regardless of whether we want it to…

What surprised us more was the beautifully graceful dance number performed by our lovely but usually stern lecturers…
It definitely set the whole crowd hooting in delight,to see them let their hair loose…

And then just three days later we had the traditional Patang Utsav where people had a jolly good time flying kites and visiting stalls put up by our creative kmitians.
The treasure hunt was no less with students puzzling over the riddles and searching for more clues…

“To stimulate creativity one must develop childlike inclination for play and the childlike desire for recognition.” – Albert Einstein

I could’nt agree more because I am sure that people are invigorated and refreshed after the JNTU exams, and are willing to face another semester and show their colours (the flying ones).

“All work and no play”?
That no longer applies to KMIT-We do it all! 😀
