And draw them all along, and flow
To join the brimming river
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on forever. ”              -Alfred Lord Tennyson

Some might say this stanza aptly describes the state of JNTU.
With hordes of students going in and out of engineering colleges every year the standard of education keeps declining with nothing to keep it in check. Hence, larger numbers of students tend to face problems during placements because they are not equipped with the skills required to do the job efficiently.

But we as students of KMIT need not fret about this growing epidemic, for we havefull-pyramid-structure Mr. Neil Gogte Sir and Dr.C.S.R. Prabhu to chart the course of our greater academic pursuits.
A three level plan whose foundation is academics, upon which is built the Trishul program which teaches us programming from the grassroots level and takes us to higher levels of coding ability, then upon that is Avishkara (Innovation) where students will come up with their own project ideas and will be guided to complete it with individual effort rather than get someone else to do it which is the norm for many JNTU students.

For the second year students (selected through a screening test) Core Java and Objective C will be taught while the third year students will learn Advanced Java and Android programming in CSE and IT branches. Some of us desperately wished we could attend both as they are so different and work in platforms of Android and IOS,and we would if not for the time constraint. The thought of evening classes all week and programming tests on the weekend may seem daunting but it will definitely be an opportunity to learn something beyond our curriculum.
The ECE and EIE branches get to learn about Arduino programming and Basic Electronics.

On another front Python classes are starting again this year for second year students and we are very excited about it. Those of us who have attended the basic Python course taught last year by Mr.Appaji Sir have grown very fond of the language and can’t wait to get more acquainted with it.
The notes distributed before the introductory class this year is very useful, concise and interesting and the amount of effort put into it clearly shows.

We the students of KMIT are very fortunate to be studying under accomplished professors.
A new addition to the KMIT faculty being Dr.CSR Prabhu.

He was the State Informatics Officer at NIC for Andhra Pradesh and also for Tamil Nadu for a total of about 29 years during which period many new initiatives in E-Governance were taken up by him .
E-Panchayat project was conceptualized, designed and implemented in 475 panchayats in Andhra Pradesh and the same project was taken up for roll out all over the country later. He has authored seven text books in the latest areas of Computer Science such as Data Warehousing, Grid and Cluster computing,E-Governance,Knowledge Management etc.

We the students of KMIT are inspired and welcome him to our college with open minds and a thirst for knowledge.
