What did I do when it was raining the other day? I decided to go Ruci & Idoni and oh boy! It was the best decision I ever made! Here is my experience:

One of the best restaurants to visit when it’s raining would be Ruci & Idoni Bistro by Ohris. The bistro is set up on the first floor and has a glass wall to give an overview of the Banjara Hills, road 10 that gives this bistro one of the best views when it’s raining. Watching the cold and dusky weather, rain pouring outside, droplets on the glass wall while eating delicious food is an experience to die for. The décor is elegant, sophisticated – a red and black theme, with an open glass kitchen. The place looks like a museum that serves food, equivalent to art.

The staff is friendly and we were quickly shown to our table. The menu looks like a portfolio of a photographer displaying their European and continental delicacies.  Since we were only two we decided to order one antipasti, one starter, a main course and two drinks. The food was so delicious that we ended ordering another main course.

The drinks:  Pink Lemonade

We decided to order the famous pink lemonade. It was refreshing and tangy as a lemonade is supposed to be and came in a surplus quantity that most bistros don’t provide.

Antipasti is the first dish, like a starter, in a traditional Italian meal. We decided to order spinach dip antipasti. The dish had tortillas, nachos, fries and potato wedges to be dipped in a rich and creamy cheese spinach dip.

The Starter: Paprika Chicken
Paprika is a spice made from chilies and is often associated with Hungarian cuisine and we were excited to see how this spice would be used in a European/Italian cuisine. The chicken was tender with paprika adding a flavor that was irresistible.  The dish was served with a southwest sauce which went very well with the chicken.

The Main Course: Paprika Chicken Pizza
Since the paprika chicken starter was so amazing we decided to order the paprika chicken pizza. The pizza was thin crusted with a slight wood burn aroma and was an authentic Italian dish in all respects. Other toppings included corn and olives in rich mozzarella cheese.

Bonus Main Course: Crepes
As the food was very delicious we decided to order another main course. Crepes is something I had never tried before and wanted to cross it off my list. Crepes is a kind of pancake made out of flour in a rich cheesy gravy. This dish was the highlight of the day. This tangy scrumptious crepes made in creamy tomato red sauce is one of the best delicacies that I had the pleasure of eating.
