About

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering program was introduced in Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology with a sanctioned intake of 60 students in the academic year 2007 – 08.The scope of Instrumentation engineering is vast and appears to be growing due to increased use of automation in manufacturing and process plants. The demand for Instrumentation is growing rapidly and job opportunities for Electronics and instrumentation graduates are many.The Electronics and Instrumentation engineering curriculum includes courses on the design of analog and digital devices used for measurement and control applications. The students also learn to program microcontrollers and PLC’s which finds wide spread application in all disciplines of engineering.Since the commencement of the program, the department has grown with well qualified faculty and infrastructure. The department has well equipped laboratories to meet the curriculum standards.Apart from curriculum, the department has made sincere efforts to bridge the curriculum deficit with current industrial needs by training the students on new technologies such as Cadence tools, Zigbee modules and Microcontrollers in real time applications.The department nurtures the students by encouraging them to actively participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities.





Dr. Pradeep K P J


He started his career as quality control engineer in the solar industry.With this industrial experience he had done doctorate in Instrumentation with the specialization of Industrial Instrumentation and process control.During the Ph.D he had worked as Guest Lecturer in the University College of Engineering,Dept of Instrumentation, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur.
Currently, He is working as Asst Prof., in the department of EIE.

  • To inculcate an ability in students to pursue Information technology education throughout their lifetime by use of multimodal learning platform including e-learning, blended learning, remote testing and skilling.
  • Exposure to different domains, paradigms and exposure to the financial and commercial underpinning of the modern business environment through the entrepreneur development cell.
  • To encourage collaboration with various organizations of repute for research, consultancy and industrial interactions.

Program Outcomes

  • Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
