Recent history is rather humourous just on the account that while we see democracy cracking at the seams we also get to see some things that seem inevitable in  hindsight.

Bush getting sho(o)ed (pun intended) has seemed to open the flood gates with people slapping and physically abusing their elected representatives not to mention the not so honorary slippers flying around -a good demonstration of his reflexes(Duck Bushy,Duck!  ).

The “trend”-if I may call it so has caught on in India.Whether it is common man attacking politicians or a Brutus amongst themselves, this moral witch hunt (of sorts) sees no end.

Does the end justify the means?-M.P. L Rajagopal brandished a pepper spray in the parliament did cause complete anarchy in the law making body.

Speaking of anarchy,Arvind Kejriwal has been repeatedly attacked during campaigning  being slapped on the face twice in one week and previously sprayed with ink and mobil oil (breaking Rihanna’s and Chris Brown’s record for physical abuse) by the very same Aam Aadmi whose rights he wants to fight for.

No wonder the newer generations are so disinclined from politics further aggravating the rise of the gunda class of politicians.

And while the sole law-making body, is so rife with party politics, given that both the leading parties so far have always had criminals on their boat, they feel it is just convenient to ignore this rising problem because passing a law to ban criminals from contesting would only make the rats scurry from what might soon become a sinking ship.

But ,it is nevertheless in my honest opinion that the urgent need for this law cannot be understated for we need only the highest echelon of intellectuals in all fields (leaders to economists to doctors) representing us not the dregs of humanity!

Its time to make a few changes,or as the Americans say -“shake things up a bit and let the brains do the talking instead of the almighty buck”.

(P.S. If the buck really starts to talk Salman Khan would be in big trouble 😉 )
