As I looked up at the heavens, A wave of delight swept over my body Transfixing my heart, Enchanting my gaze… A muse never so beautiful, An embodiment of Mother Nature. The orange sky embracing a spectrum of violet The sun at peace, Behind the faint rumble of the clouds Spreading a golden hue.. Illuminating the dust beneath. Gracefully fading away, Behind the concrete skyline. Last drops of warmth, Lost in the dancing shadows. As the sweet breeze ruffled my hair Fledglings ruffled wings in the air. Flying as high as they could Chirping away merrily... The moon smiled its way up. Slowly adorned by the stars, Grinning at the world From high up above.. An everyday scene, An ordinary setting, But everything about it Simply extraordinary… Light years away Still twinkling bright As the darkness grows The more they glow “A simple truth”, I wondered Travelling through time From distances unknown Yet omnipresent Shining for us. Narrating unfinished tales About finding constellations.. As the night set in Wondering how it’d be To stargaze through the sky’s eyes Dusk lingered on....
